When sin has been practiced over decades it became tradition 

Fatherhood: God permitted our forefathers to practice it because of men's nature of that time was too awkward for God to be so close to them . They practice it through divine permission .

I am not trying to teach you to disrespect elderly but I want to clear men's ignorant here .

God made use of angels before the manifestation of the son of Righteousness.

So the worship of Angels was so common at that time because the redemption work were not yet done then .  This happened because men's ways was so detestable before God. It was those whom has found favor before God was able to be used by God while God's people abided in whatever rules they gave. 

Paul spoke a lot of words that caused all the contradictions that was found in the bible. 

In Ephesians he wrote that we should imitate God  in first Corinthians he urged the brothers to imitate him . He had his reasons for saying that then but today it has created a stumbling block to believers freedom. He said again, 

• 1 Corinthians 4:14 I am writing this not to shame you but to warn you as my dear children.15 Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.16 Therefore I urge you to imitate me.

These verses has cost a lot of stumbling block to your freedom in Christ Jesus . It is men who are not spiritual practice letters because not even the holy angels of God can allow you to fell down before them .

But this doctrine was common during the time of Elijah, God permitted it because he refused to lead his people by himself. He did it through his angels because men was proned to do evil acts . So that his anger wouldn't destroy them totally. 

During the time John the Apocalypse was receiving his vision 

• Revelation 22:8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me.9 But he said to me, "Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!"

The angel corrected him because of that way of worship has been eliminated ;invalid to be applied again. The angel addressed himself as a fellow servant with John and with you and I or brothers (prophets) and others who is keeping the teachings of Christ . For it is time to worship God directly. 

Paul spoke a lot of truth and nullified it with what he spoke as well which has made it difficult for those who followed letters to deviate from the truth . 

• It is written Proverbs 10:19 Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.

Yes when words are many sin is not absent. 

See the truth Paul expressed:

• 1 Corinthians 3:4 For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere human beings? 5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe —as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

These verses are not above humans comprehension to seek for a spiritual interpretation of it . But some people found it difficult to understand this while some twist it as if they are the authors of English language. Others brothers who has the nature of the fallen angel skip them because they wanted to lord it over blind brothers. 

Admit before men in the present of God you are nothing but an instrument. The great as it sounded among you must be the servant of others.

• 1 Corinthians 1:13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?

And what is Paul? Only servant  through whom you came to believe . So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. we are co-workers in God’s service.

no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

The great as it sounded among you must be the servant of others.
